eTeacherBiblical Program Overview

eTeacher is proud to present a range of Biblical Languages, including Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, providing a unique opportunity to read the Bible in its original form for its intended audience. eTeacher provides the most experienced teachers and scholars of Biblical Languages directly to you, so you can increase your understanding and appreciation of Biblical texts.

In January 2010, the Hebrew University, in collaboration with eTeacher, began to offer their very first online, accredited Biblical Language courses to overseas students. The Hebrew University’s Humanities Program is ranked in the top 100 globally. This partnership is the first of its kind in the Institution's distinguished history.

The Biblical Languages program, facilitated by the eTeacher Online Language Academy, is now one of the Hebrew University’s accredited courses and is fully recognized by the university’s Faculty of Humanities. To earn credits, students must meet the department’s strict academic requirements, among them mandatory remote attendance, homework assignments, and satisfactory performance on examinations.

eTeacher’s Biblical Language instructors are certified educators and experts in their field. The majority of our teachers have taught at Israel's leading universities, which are some of the world's best institutions for Biblical Languages and Scholarship.

eTeacher’s Biblical Hebrew program is run by Dr. Ohad Cohen, PhD, a highly-skilled teacher and linguist with extensive experience in teaching Biblical Hebrew. In 2008 Ohad completed his thesis on the Verbal Tense System in Late Biblical Hebrew Prose, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
